Online or In Person – The Games Never Stops
- No Comments
Last week alone, we had over 10 games played by members of the community on Tabletop Simulator.
Ten full games. Lists tested. Campaign battles fought. Practice reps locked in.
And the best part?
It wasn’t just two players rolling virtual dice.
Voice channels were active throughout the week. Members jumping in to watch games unfold, discuss plays, debate tactics, ask questions, and just hang out. It felt less like “online gaming” and more like standing around a table at the studio — only digital.
Because at its core, that’s what Clumsy Orc Studios has always been about.
Community first. Games second.
Why Tabletop Simulator Matters
Life gets busy.
Work schedules clash. Family commitments come first. Travel isn’t always practical. Sometimes you simply can’t make it to Leeds, Stockport, Skipton, or wherever the next in person session is being held.
That doesn’t mean you fall behind.
It doesn’t mean the campaign pauses.
It doesn’t mean you stop improving.
Tabletop Simulator has become a powerful extension of the studio for:
🎲 Testing competitive lists before events
🗺️ Continuing campaign games between venue nights
⚔️ Getting practice reps in without time pressure
🧠 Learning new armies in a relaxed setting
It keeps momentum alive.
More Than Just Games
What’s really stood out recently is how many members join voice channels while games are happening.
Not playing — just watching.
Calling out smart plays.
Questioning target priority.
Discussing secondary choices.
Learning by observation.
It mirrors the atmosphere of an in person night. The tactical conversations. The shared moments. The friendly debate.
Online doesn’t replace physical gaming.
But it absolutely strengthens the community between those nights.
A Studio That Doesn’t Switch Off
Clumsy Orc Studios isn’t just a venue booking system.
It’s an ecosystem.
Whether games are happening on physical tables or digital boards, the war keeps moving. The campaigns evolve. Players improve. Rivalries build.
And that consistency matters.
If you’re already part of the studio but haven’t tried a TTS game yet, now’s a good time to jump in.
If you’ve been watching from the sidelines and wondering what we’re about, this is it — structured games, active community, and ways to play whether you can travel or not.
